Scam Call - wanted to link the phone number to a name / e-mail (Call centre) reported by


Extremely confusing person called me on the other end, vague explanations. He used famous brands and companies to try and make the info he was looking for legit. All he wanted was to confirm if the name he is calling is answering the phone. He also had a corporate e-mail linked to the phone from somewhere ( I guess leaked database ) which I told him was wrong and had old/expired info/database. When I started asking him questions, he hung up.

Constantly calling. Gave a rushed introduction that I could barely hear and got annoyed after I asked him to repeat his name and where he was from. Could not tell me where he got my details from but wanted me to verify my email address to send me some "white papers" which I said I was not interested in receiving.

He knew the name of our General Director, he introduced himself as "Nico from HP" in a very unprofessional and unpolite manner, and wanted me to transfer the call to the Director without giving the reason of the call. He spoke a basic Italian with a strong eastern european accent. He asked repeatedly my name in a threatening way and I repeatedly said "the switchboard operator". At the end , he said he would send him an email to "invite him to a business strategy"
