I asked for my number to be removed and I was told due to GDPR that I would need to write in. Not sure if they understand GDPR as he seemed to be confused about the fact that I had not given consent for them to ring me especially outside of working hours.

They use a random digit dialer, fully legit. They rush you because they've a set number of surveys to get each hour and get written up if they don't get them. They may have about 40 people answer the phone and only one agree to do the survey. They're harmless and just trying to do a job to earn some money. They don't want your bank account details so don't worry. Very irritating to see how many people get pissy and bolchy over it. Just stay polite. These people are tired and demoralised
