The first call said it was Eir telephone company trying to contact me and they'd ring again shortly but I had no missed calls or anything. However, my mobile phone contract is with Eir so when the number called again, I answered but this time it hung up almost immediately. I'm blocking the number now.

Foreign woman, claimed to be from Eir, asked to pay an outstanding balance. She had my details (name, number, address). Told her I’d paid on the automated system already. She accepted that and ended the call. Felt a bit odd as never had a call from Eir to pay a single overdue/due bill/balance before? Usually get emails. Would be wary of paying over the phone in this manner, recommend paying via official automated services or in person in a store.

i've recieved six calls off this number since yesterday, answered four of them, two were a robocall saying eir are trying to contact me about a bill or my service, the other two were quiet for a second before they hung up. i was on to eir yesterday sorting my bill, so i don't know why ive had so many calls off them since. \

Same issue here. Had a bill due to pay, started receiving at least one call a day from this number. Didn’t answer the first few times out of caution for an unknown number (that my phone flagged as a potential scam). Payed my bill using the automated services as usual and still received calls for a few days after. Finally answered one this morning and same situation- bad connection/grainy quality, foreign voice asking me to pay. Did have my details (name, number, address, etc.) but felt odd getting a call on a single due bill.

They try to 'punish' me for not paying the 2 Euro they charge for manual payment. However, this is ILLEGAL, since 1)I was NOT informed that there is such a fee 2) I demanded from the beginning a manual payment (and despite of that,they illegally installed a direct debit, which I stopped) and 3) on their website they still advertise a standard package for €29.99 (which I have) - no word whatsoever that this is only with a direct debit. So - misleading advertising and FRAUD!

Claimed to be from EIR and knew my address and date-of-birth and that I had just made a payment. Very poor english and didn't say what the call was about. Didn't ask for any information from me, he volunteered the details above to me.

Just curious who this number is from.... missed call from it yesterday also and this morning.... I answered, it took a few seconds before I heard anything then it sounded like an office background, before anyone spoke I hung up as I just can't go through another telemarketer or sales pitch

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call center robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?
