I am a sky customer. I received a phone call from that number with an offer. It sounded professional to be honest but I’m always paranoid so I asked how do I know I’m talking to sky and this is not a scam. They were able to tell me when I started my contract. I said thanks very much, I’ll think about it. Call me back later. I never gave any personal details. Then I called the official SKY number from their website, got through and asked if that was Sky, they said no, because every phone call is recorded on my file since I’m a customer and there was no phone call from them. Soo… SCAM.

an obviously inexperienced telemarketer calling on behalf of SKY, giggling away, and asking for my password, which i wouldn't give. Asked me what i liked to watch on TV, and when i said Netflix they asked was it movies and they could give me a deal on Cinema, which i alread have on my account. WHen i asked them my current package they couldn't tell me. They they asked me about sports teams we liked, I queried why so many personal questions, the response "I am just trying to be nice" (still giggling). The offer was Sports reduced from €49 to just €1. When i queried why this was so cheap, I was told I was out of contract so they could offer this deal. And there you ahve it, they are calling to try get customers to renew their contracts. I said no thanks.

Had this number call several times, on searching it, found it was Sky. I called Sky who confirmed I had been contacted by them, they couldn’t give me any details as to why I had been called as it was a different department trying to contact me but clarified it was ok to answer if it called again and not a scam. I did & it was in relation to renewal of contract & discounts were offered.

I asked if he could email me the details or if I could log in to review the offers and he said no and hung up. Seemed genuine at first although I would still not give my details, but hanging up then made me suspicious.

Caller rand and said he was from Sky and that he wanted to let me know about my VIP rewards and that I had got 1 month of Sky sport free. Told him not interested and so he asked if I wanted Sky cinema or Paramount which I already have so just said no and hung up
