Caller claimed to be from Vodafone Pay As You Go Service. The caller had my name wrong. I believe that if I had corrected her I would be disclosing more helpful information to her. Dear Reader, Don't get caught by this ruse to get your correct name that they can add to your number for next try. Caller asked if I had any problems with my service that needed addressing. I replied, no. Caller thanked me and wished me a good day. Yeh right!

Asked for call to be recorded, I agreed. Proceeded to ask about DOB, then address. I told them to tell me my address and I can confirm. They said "that's a nice trick, but how about you tell me when was the last time you topped up your phone"... Scam call, don't answer.

Guy claimed he was from vodafone, knew my first name, asked to 'verify' its me (calling my number...) and tell him by DOB, I said I am not comfortable giving this info, the call was dropped... next time giving fake dob to see what happens ;)

Asked for name, only provided surname, asked for DOB, only provided year. He told me my address which made me trust him a little more, talked about an offer, mentioned my account balance which I believe was correct. Overall, I am not sure if this is a scam caller but be careful. Probably would have been a better idea to hang up.

Claimed to be from Vodafone offering special deals, they had my name. I didn't stay on the call long enough to verify if genuine or scam, I have terminated the call as soon as the asked me to confirm I am happy with the call being recorded. I would lean towards it being a scam though as some years ago when genuine Vodafone used to call me with offers (from a different number) I have asked them to not contact me for offers any more and they have not done that since (it has been a few years).
