This is legit Vodafone Ireland, I requested a call back from there official website to upgrade my broadband service and they called me with this number.

It's best to hang up - unsure if this call is genuine or not - the line was so poor that I could not hear. Does not say much for Vodafone if it is a genuine call as the connection was so poor - doubt overall if it was Vodafone - no details given.

Called and stated they were from Vodaphone, couldn't tell me my phone number or address. Started asking for personally identifying information (DOB, address, etc.). Caller was not from UK or Ireland. Reverse lookup has them in Egypt?

Not sure what to make of it. Vodafone ring me all the time and I just ignore it. This was a Dublin number I don’t recognise so i answered. Foreign accent, caller knew my name and said she’s from Vodafone and wants to offer me a better deal on my broadband. Just as I started to talk the line went dead, didn’t ring me back since anyway. Could be some kind of scam call.. at the very least anyway it’s Vodafone being a nuisance by changing tack and ringing me from numbers I don’t recognise instead

Got a call from this number, answered, spoke to a nice man that confirmed the nickname I had added as my real name on my Vodafone account but changed last year(so their information is old) he asked if he could record the call, I agreed. He then sent a text message to my phone from Vodafone to confirm that I was really speaking to them(never done by the actual company). This can be faked very easily and comes up as Vodafone. Not Vodafone's fault, just how their program works. Then he asked me to confirm my own details (I worked for both Eflow, Meteor and Eir a few years ago doing these cold calls and the operator is supposed to confirm the information they have first and the person receiving the call is supposed to confirm that information.) I ended the call at that point, then received a call from the same nice man from a different number +353 1 252 8641. The number is different as the virtual dialer they use to call out resets every time.

Got the call from this number right after I gave my number to Vodafone's twitter account. Call started off with a weird music and this guy comes on the line, with what sounded like wind of breath on his microphone. Presented himself like I called him instead of the other way around. Speaking loudly for no reason at all. Seemed like a scam but it might have been Vodafone calling. Really bad customer service though, right when I was considering switching broadbands :D

Seems like a genuine Vodafone Ireland call (though probably a call centre abroad) but they won't talk to you without you giving personal details over the phone first which I was not prepared to do given the current volume of scam calls
